I have a new book coming out soon!

I have a novella coming out through Type Eighteen Books in the near future!

The inspiration for the novella comes from a journal I found, written by my grandfather, a log of a 3-day trip he took to Nova Scotia in the 1930’s. He took a ferry from Boston and sailed the Atlantic to his lovely island home, his first trip there since his immigration to the U.S. many years earlier. His joy nearly jumps from the pages of this tiny journal.

Shortly after finding my grandfather’s journal, I traveled to the island of Cyprus for a week-long writing retreat with fourteen authors. I continued to dream about my grandfather’s love for the ocean, and the outsized influence this fascinating man had on his daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A spark ignited ignited for a story, and I wrote, day and night, from my balcony window overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
